It happened around 12:30 p.m., Tuesday, April 7, in Dutchess County near Exit 17 in Holmes, New York State Police said.

The roadway was closed for at least an hour following the crash in which the vehicle, reportedly involved in a police pursuit, overturned.

State Police reported the Putnam County Sheriff's Office had taken over the investigation of the crash.
